Strategic Western Australian Pharmacy Supplies better known as SWAPS, is a Western Australian owned family business that has been operating for over 20 years.

The business was started in 1985 by pharmacist Mr Tom Silvan, who recognised the need for better buying opportunities for pharmacists throughout the State. Over that time, the pharmacy industry had grown to recognise the benefits of the buying power that SWAPS has brought to the local market.

SWAPS is now the largest Western Australian owned buying group, supplying to over 320 pharmacies representing about 65% of the WA market.

We have a modern warehouse facility in Belmont and employ 25 staff.

From the same premises we also operate a brokerage business called MEDICLEAN, representing companies both from WA and the east coast. Through the development of this business in conjunction with the loyal support of our SWAPS membership, we see a distinct market opportunity in the representation of companies wishing to increase their market share in Western Australia.
